RENO, Nev. — Following the fourth of five races in the 2015 SCORE World Desert Championship, 10 of SCORE’s toughest drivers remain in the hunt to earn 2015 SCORE Milestone Awards. Last month’s Rigid Industries SCORE Imperial Valley 250 was run on a rugged 288.3-mile course near Plaster City, Calif. on Sept. 26.

Leading the way in the chase for 2015 SCORE Milestone Awards are two superlative stallions in the featured SCORE Trophy Truck division, two each in Class 10 and in Class 19 and two in Class 40 (motorcycle riders over 40 years old).

The two SCORE Trophy Truck thoroughbreds who have completed every challenging race mile so far this season are: Gus Vildosola Jr, Mexicali, Mexico (No. 21 Vildosola RacingFord Raptor) and Eduardo Laguna, Mexicali, Mexico (No. 17 RPM Racing Chevy Silverado). SCORE Trophy Truck is the sport’s marquee racing division for high-tech, 850-horsepower unlimited production trucks.

GOING BIG IN BAJA
With overall and class season point championships on the line for cars, trucks, UTVs, motorcycles and quads, the season finale will be next month’s 48th annual Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000 desert race. The granddaddy of all desert races, with race-week festivities Nov. 18-22, will be a loop race this year of approximately 840 miles, starting and finishing adjacent to the iconic Riviera del Pacifico Cultural Center in the heart of Ensenada, Baja California Mexico.

Jumpstarting the festivities for the Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000 for the second straight year will be the massive SEMA SCORE Baja 1000 Experience at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Nov. 3-6) and the special SCORE Baja 1000 qualifying, presented by BFGoodrich Tires, for SCORE Trophy Trucks and unlimited Class 1 open-wheelers at the Off-Road track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (7 p.m. PT, Tuesday, Nov. 3).

SHOWTIME ON CBS SPORTS
