CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Aug. 3, 2015) – Robby Gordon’s SPEED Energy Stadium Super Trucks Presented by TRAXXAS will return to the OC Fair and Event Center Sept. 18-20 for three separate race days at the Sand Sports Super Show.

Another spectacular dirt and asphalt track will be built at the Fair Grounds. Last year’s layout produced amazing full-contact racing action for the 600-horsepower TRAXXAS SST trucks with a ramp that launched the trucks at least 40 feet in the air and across opposing lanes of traffic. This signature cross-over jump is one of the most impressive aspects of any motorsports event in the world and is one reason last year’s Orange County races generated a capacity crowd.

The 2014 short course at the OC Fair & Event Center was by all accounts one of the best layouts in the history of the SST series which produced amazing racing and constant action for the sold-out crowd. In addition to the SSTs, fans were treated to a full slate of racing including class 1400 trucks, SPEED Energy Supermoto bikes, trophy karts and UTVs on the dirt and asphalt surface. Another full schedule of racing will take place each day with details to be announced.

Additional general admission seating and corporate suites have been added for the 2015 event. Single- day tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children under 13 and active or retired military with a valid ID. Multi-day SST tickets, or tickets in combination with the adjacent Sand Sports Super Show are also available. All tickets will be sold at the box office on race day.

Companies and individuals interested in renting fully catered VIP suites that include private elevated seating, refreshments, as well as three menu options, can call Robby Gordon Motorsports at 704-949-1255. The VIP suites also include track-facing advertising space, public address announcements, access to secured restrooms and VIP parking.

“These trucks and the solid crop of drivers we have here put on a great show,” series promoter and founder Gordon said. “Last year the Southern California fans saw the type of show these drivers and trucks put on we look forward to coming back to Orange County which is where short course off-road racing started.”

Gates will open Sept. 18 and 19 at 5 p.m., and on Sept. 20 at 10:30 a.m. Each day will include more than three hours of on-track action. TRAXXAS drivers Gordon and Keegan Kincaid won each round respectively in 2014, and both will be back to defend their titles.
