Chandler, AZ – Described as a “short course on steroids” Best In The Desert’s BlueWater Desert Challenge is different than any other race in the series. It features two full days of racing over a 26-mile, multi-loop course along the Colorado river. DragonFire’s Pro UTV team is looking forward to the unique set of challenges this weekend… and Lacrecia Beurrier’s “lucky 13” starting position.

After pacing themselves for the “Longest Off-Road Race in the United States” at the last BITD round Vegas to Reno, the racers will now be going full tilt right from start. Despite the shorter loop format rather than the extreme point-to-point event that Vegas to Reno was, the course will be no less challenging… perhaps even tougher! “This course features an extremely wide variety of tough terrain that’s sure to challenge the skills of every racer,” admits Best in the Desert director Casey Folks. “The unique format still allows competitors to log in close to 130-miles of hardcore desert racing. But it allows the teams to make adjustments and fine tune their vehicles for the second day of all-out sprint style racing.”

“Our finishing positions haven’t really reflected just how fast my new Can-Am Maverick really is,” says Lacrecia. Look for her customary hot pink livery to climb to the front of the pack, especially in the sprint on day #2. “We dedicate every race to breast cancer awareness,” says the registered nurse from nearby Lake Havasu. “But it will be really great to put a pink car on the podium during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” Keep your eyes on the #1924 Can-Am Commander at the BITD BlueWater Challenge as this lady races for a reason – you can’t miss the pink ribbons and pink trim!
