Polaris-12-2-11Minneapolis – Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII), the leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles (ORVs), today announced the company has entered into a partnership with the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), the nation’s  largest general farm organization, to be a resource to the U.S. farming community by attending Farm Bureau shows at a national and state level, offering dealer support at a local level, and providing a special purchase program on select Polaris utility vehicles.

“As a U.S. Company, Polaris wants to help the American farming community and what better way than to partner with one of the most prestigious farming associations, the American Farm Bureau Federation,” said Jim Blaze, manager of National Accounts for Polaris. “This partnership gives us the ability to interact with the farming community at both a national and state level, and enables our dealer network to pass along a cost savings to local farmers on products relevant to their needs.”

The three-year partnership is mutually beneficial to both the AFBF and Polaris in part because the mission of AFBF is to enhance and strengthen the lives of rural Americans and to build strong, prosperous agricultural communities.  Polaris vehicles are a benefit due to their unmatched capabilities such as high towing and hauling available on the RANGER and BRUTUS lines, ease of use, low and cost-effective maintenance compared to pick-up trucks, different power options including gas, diesel and electric, and their ability to help farmers do more, in less time, for less money. AFBF members now will be able to enjoy a special purchase program for Polaris all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), Sportsman® ACE, RANGER®   Side-by-Sides (SxS), BRUTUS® Commercial Vehicles and GEM® Electric Vehicles which translates to more savings and a better bottom line.

“Our commitment to providing our members with exclusive access to superior, high-quality brands, programs and products remains a priority,” said AFBF President Bob Stallman. “It’s a pleasure to introduce this special purchase program, which will help our members save money as they invest in high-quality, off-terrain vehicles that will benefit their farming and ranching operations.”

Polaris dealers will be attending many Farm Bureau shows and local events across the country, and Polaris will have a presence at the national AFBF Annual Convention in San Diego, in January 2015. The special purchase program is currently rolling out to individual states, who may choose to participate in the program. AFBF members in participating states can access a coupon, redeemable at their local Polaris dealership, by validating their membership on the member services section of their State Farm Bureau Web site.
