CYPRESS, Calif. – July 2, 2014 – Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A., has opened voting for the top Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Amateur or Pro-Am racer representing great All-American ATV Racing values in the industry-first “Yamaha All-American ATV Racer” contest.
Just in time for the fourth of July weekend, racing fans can now vote and are encouraged to share the contest with other friends, family and fans to build support for their favorite competitor. The racer who earns the most online votes will receive a racing package valued at more than $11,000, which includes an Assembled-in-U.S.A. YFZ450R and free entry to the 2015 GNCC racing season.
“We’ve seen some exciting nominations of great racers and racing role models, and now it is time to find out who can generate the most votes and become the first-ever Yamaha All-American ATV Racer,” said Steve Nessl, Yamaha’s ATV/SxS group marketing manager. “Yamaha believes in the sportsmanship of the ATV racing community, and is proud to give GNCC racers this opportunity. We’re also proud that the YFZ450R is assembled in the U.S.A. at our factory in Georgia. These two factors were the inspiration for this program.”
More than 20 GNCC Amateur and Pro-Am racers 18-years and older were nominated. Voting runs through October 28, 2014. During the voting period, family, friends and fans of the approved nominees are encouraged to vote for their favorite racer that most represents the All American ATV racing values on and off the track.
Prize Package Includes:
• New Assembled-in-U.S.A. YFZ450R
• “Yamaha Pit Kit” (including Yamaha Racing pop-up, stand and pit jacket)
• Yamaha EF2000iS generator
• Yamaha Pressure Washer
