Beta USA’s Cody Webb tackles one of the toughest races in the world this coming weekend (May 29 – June 1), the Red Bull Hare Scramble, in Austria. The Red Bull Hare Scramble consists of a four hour race where racers must reach 20 check points during the allotted time to win the event; an accomplishment that very few riders attain. While Webb is one of the few Americans representing this year, his technical skills, endurocross experience, and trials background should make him a contender for the win.
2013’s Erzberg champion, Graham Jarvis, remains a favorite; however, Webb topped Jarvis earlier this year in the King of Motos and carries momentum from his Round 1 win in the AMA Geico EnduroCross Series.
“I’m very excited to have my first attempt at Erzberg during the 20th annual celebration of the Iron Giant. Many riders are returning this year along with a large group of Americans.” The likes of Taylor Robert and Kyle Redmond will join Webb in Austria for this event.
Webb goes on to say, “It will be a battle until the end and I hope I have a quick learning curve to figure out the best attack plan. I have faith in my 300 RR and physical conditioning to know that I can run near the top. This is a huge experience for myself and I can’t wait to see how I finish at this prestigious event.”
Beta USA wishes Cody Webb the best of luck on Sunday during his first appearance at the Red Bull Hare Scramble in Erzberg.
