The polar vortex temperatures may be freezing, but things at Maine’s Sunday River Ski Resort are heating up as eight of the world’s top drivers and their 900-horsepower Pro4  trucks prepare for Red Bull Frozen Rush.

Off-road truck racing is normally reserved for the dirt speedways of summer, spring and fall, but there is nothing usual about Red Bull Frozen Rush.  First explored by three-time TORC Series Champion Ricky Johnson in February 2013, the 49 year-old racing superstar enjoyed the challenge of exploring his truck’s limits on soft snow, steep terrain, ice and in freezing temperatures.  That “test” has evolved into a full fledged head-to-head competition, which will take place this Friday, January 10.
