SAN DIEGO — Featuring multi-car entries in every SCORE race for over two decades, Wilson Motorsports of Long Beach, Calif. will be glistening in the SCORE spotlight during the next two Tuesday’s Dirt LiveHD 7 p.m. (PT) internet shows. Airing in High Definition on www.score-international.com, the show for the next two weeks will air from Wilson Motorsports instead of its broadcast home at the SCORE International tech shop in El Cajon, Calif., just east of San Diego.

The second and third-generation desert racing team has won races in several classes and championship over the years and known as intense competitors Wilson Motorsports has easily compiled more podium finishes than any team in SCORE history.

Introduced to SCORE desert racing by family patriarch Norm Wilson, the family legacy was established by Wilson’s three sons-Rick, Randy and Ronny, who have brought in their sons Brian and Brad to extend the family tradition even further.

Roger Norman’s Dirt Live one-hour show is broadcast live weekly and the show is anchored around Norman’s two desert racing series, the SCORE Desert Series and the High Desert Racing Association as well as the new bonus points championship purse program he has developed called the World Championship of Desert Racing. All live events, this will be the 37th weekly Dirt LiveHD episode to air. Replays of previous Dirt LiveHD shows are kept in an electronic library on the dirtlive.com website.

The Wilson Motorsports team has been serious competitor in SCORE desert racing for over 20 years.

This year the Wilsons have been running two unlimited Class 1 cars and one Class 10 car in the SCORE Desert Series. All three 2013 Wilson race cars are Chevy-powered Jimco desert race cars with Ronny Wilson, 51, of Long Beach, in third place in Class 1 points in the No. 153 Jimco-Chevy while Randy Wilson, 54, of Lakewood, Calif., is in fourth place in Class 1 points in the No. 138 Jimco-Chevy and Brad Wilson, 24, of Long Beach, is driver of record in Class 10 where he is currently second in points in the No. 1053 Jimco-Chevy (Ecotech). Brian Wilson is a second driver this season in Class 1, primarily with Ronny Wilson.

Always in the hunt for race wins and season point championships, oldest brother Rick Wilson, 56, have moved from driving to be the team manager for Wilson Motorsports as the racers for potential two season point titles at the season-ending Tecate SCORE Baja 1000.

Among the memorable races of Wilson Motorsports was the 2009 Terrible’s SCORE Las Vegas Primm 300 where Ronny won the SCORE Lites class and was a dnf in Class 1 while Randy finished sixth in Class 1 and Brad and Brian finished third and fourth respectively in Class 1/2-1600.

Another memorable finish for the Wilsons was at the 2012 Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250 where Ronny finished second and Randy third in Class 1 and third-generation Wilson racers Brian and Brad finished second and fifth respectively in Class 1/2-1600.

Randy Wilson has been the driver of record for two Wilson Motorsports SCORE season point championships, winning Class 10 in 1989 and Class 1 in 2009. Among the SCORE wins for Ronny Wilson have also been a pair of Class 1 triumphs in the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, first in 1999 and then again in 2009.

Brian Wilson was honored by the SCORE membership as the 2009 SCORE Rookie of the Year when he finished second by one point in the season championship in Class 1/2-1600. Brian Wilson also won his class in the 2010 Tecate SCORE Baja 500.
