MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Round 10 of the 2013 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series took place this past weekend at the legendary Unadilla Raceway in New Berlin for the ninth running of the Can-Am Unadilla GNCC. Located in western New York’s hotbed of off-road racing, the Unadilla GNCC drew in an astonishing number of 1,971 ATV and motorcycle entries, marking the largest rider attended event in the 38-year history of GNCC Racing.
This comes after the highly successful season in 2012, where the Grand National Cross Country Series generated the second largest total of rider entries in the history of the series. With over 10% increase in participation from the previous year, the 2012 season nearly topped the all-time high mark set in 2007.
“I am very proud of this GNCC milestone,” said Rita Coombs, President of Racer Productions and Organizer of GNCC Racing. “Our team at Racer Productions has worked very hard to keep growing the series, while sticking to the core values that Big Dave [Coombs] put in place years ago.”
The AMSOIL GNCC Series is broadcasting live coverage from all 13 rounds of the championship for the first time ever on RacerTV.com, as well as all 13 rounds on NBC Sports Network. To view past episodes of GNCC Live, please visit www.racertv.com.
