Irvine, Calif. – Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green’s Keith Johnson led the charge in Supercross on his KX™450F by sweeping both his classes on Wednesday. Johnson got two holeshots and went on to win the Plus 35 and Plus 40 Supercross Championships. Along with Johnson’s two championships, Team Green scored an additional 18 top-three finishes for a total 20 podiums.
The Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green trackside support program is available to all Kawasaki riders and is a fundamental portion of the success of Team Green. With approximately 250 Kawasaki class entries, Team Green provides emergency parts and expert technicians to assist any rider in need. Under the tent can be a very busy place filled with those in need of assistance as well as those just looking to hang out with familiar faces and bench race with friends.
Transitioning
With supercross now complete, the focus moves to the historic Gatorback motocross track as riders took to the track Wednesday afternoon for practice. Known for its multiple elevation changes through the “Gator Pit” and over the “Dinner Table”, the track is a favorite amongst most riders. Motos will begin Thanksgiving morning and continue into the holiday weekend.
“The track was awesome in practice,” said Thomas Covington. “It was nice and loamy today, but it won’t stay like that. The base is really hard so the roost feels like you’re being pelted with rocks, but the layout is really fun.”
