2007 DuneFest was the largest yet
Dunefest continues to expand
We just returned from Winchester Bay, OR and 2007 Dunefest. What a great event! The 2007 event was larger than ever and much better organized than in years past. (Except the online event schedule did not match the actual event schedule.)
Starting with the kids treasure hunt on Wends day morning and continuing through the live performance by Grand Funk Railroad on Saturday evening. Dunefest 2007 had enough events that we can't imagine any member of the family or any sand dune enthusiast could not find something to fit their interest.
|
New for 2007 was Side by Side Obstacle Course Racing. Custom Yamaha Rhino's could be seen just about everywhere you looked. |
|
There was new event sponsors and full factory rigs everywhere. RockStar, Monster, Can-Am, Yamaha, and primary event sponsors Fullbore Racing and Alba Action. |
|
ProMoto Promotions put on Grand Prix racing on Friday and Motocross racing on Saturday.
Pro moto 2 on Saturday was a battle between #3 LRD Performance's Brandon Brown and #61 Power Yamaha's Curtis McNitt. |
|
While not taking in one of the many events how about a ride on the Oregon dunes with a group of your buddies? |
|
The Off-Road.com staff was out testing the 2008 Polaris RZR. We will have a full dune report coming. In the mean time lets just say Polaris has hit the mark with the new RZR. |
We suggest that you put Dunefest 2008 on your calendars for the first week in August. Just make sure sure to register early. Parking and camping spaces are limited.
Make sure to check out the photo galleries and video from Dunefest 2007.
