2009 Yamaha Special Edition ATVs
All-black plastic sets off these Limited Editions
For the last few years Yamaha has released limited edition versions of their models which they debut mid-year in Glamis, California, and it is definitely the most laid-back press release that Yamaha has all year long. The limited edition quads usually have a few modifications to them, versus the standard models. The changes are usually minor, but these limited-edition models are understandably often more in demand.
This year’s color scheme for the Limited Edition Yamahas was all black plastic.
The Raptor is still the best selling Sport ATV in the U.S., and the 2009 Limited Edition Raptor 700R comes in black plastic with a red frame.
The Raptor SE is also equipped it with longer front shocks, and the same wave-style brake rotor that they use on the 2009 450R. And it's the FIRST sport ATV with a digital meter. MSRP $8,599, and it's at your dealers now. (Since late last summer, actually.) |
The 2009 450R Limited Edition is almost the same as the standard model, however the SE comes with red springs on the front shocks instead of silver.
It also is fashioned with Zeus fasteners which allow for much faster and easier removal of the plastic. You simply place the Zeus in the plastic hole and twist it to lock your plastic in place.
The 450R is also equipped with a GYT-R bumper on the front and heel guards.
