It is often said that a picture is worth a thousand words…Well if that’s the case, the owners of Jagged Extreme have a few thousand words they’d like to share with you…
Justin and Brandon Schueler have come along way in
the past two years. While they were busy building jeeps for their
families rock crawling interests they were introduced to the Yamaha
Rhino by an acquaintance who had bought one of the first ones
available in the Phoenix area. Not long after that introduction,
the two men purchased that same Rhino and began some custom work
that would soon attract more than just a little attention. The
stock green vehicle that originally entered the shop now sports a
bright flamed paint job, custom roll cage, custom wheels, and many
other new features…The finished product was such a success
that everyone around with Rhinos, as well as those with them on
order, wanted theirs customized as well.

“Before I knew it there were five Rhinos lined
up for work.” Remarked Justin as he holds up pictures of
their first machine. This was the machine that made its debut at
the Sand Sports Super Show in 2004. With just the exposure from
that show, and the introduction of their web site, Jagged Extreme
moved into a larger facility to help contain their overflowing
business that has now expanded to the limits of this new building
as well. Not bad for a company that doesn’t even advertise.
Still in its infancy

On the day I visited the shop, the crew was busy
working on their newest creation for the 2005 Sand Sports Super
Show. This baby had been stripped down to the bone, painted,
polished, and completely customized. Tilt steering, fuel cell,
aluminum A-arms, tricked out rims, and custom seats with harnesses!
To truly appreciate the creative talent that has been poured into
these vehicles you’ve got to see them in person. Care and
pride in workmanship are two qualities that are highly apparent in
the products that leave this shop. As we walked next to the line of
stock Rhinos ready to be transformed, Justin informed me that
people from all over the country have their vehicles shipped to
Jagged Extreme for custom work. Some of these vehicles are shipped
to the shop before the owner has even seen them. “They
contact us to discuss what changes they want made, and before
we’re through with the work, they’re adding
more.” Remarked Bill Schueler, as he stood next to their
newest creation. Uncle Ted (Ted Nugent) even had the plastic for
his rhino shipped to the shop for a custom paint job to debut on
his upcoming reality show, Wanted Ted or Alive.
Awaiting beautification.

Now that you’ve seen some of the goods,
you’ve got to be asking; so how much? Well, for the custom
paint, wheels, etc…( something along the lines of the Orange
Rhino) you’re looking at somewhere around $3,000- $6,000, but
if you want to add the stereo and the electronics to go with it
you’re looking in the neighborhood of $4,000- $7,000. For
those of you that want the Full Monty, like the red rhino creation,
then you’ll have to give Bill a call to discuss the price.

Jagged Extreme is by no means a shop for Yamaha
Rhinos only. They will customize just about anything off road, such
as; ATV’s, Jeeps, Polaris Rangers, and the new Arctic Cat
Prowler. At this point in time, the majority of their work is
concentrated on the Yamaha Rhino due to its growing popularity with
consumers as a multi-use vehicle.

Jagged Extreme is also a one stop shop for parts for
those who enjoy turning the wrench for themselves. In the very near
future Jagged Extreme plans to have their full blown parts list
available on their site so you can have access them any time. For
more information, you can visit Jagged Extreme on the web @
jaggedx.com.
