KYMCO USA Debuts Eleven New Models at Powersports Dealer Expo

Mar. 06, 2006 By Press Release

Inman, SC — Creating buzz for the second year in a row at the Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo, KYMCO USA unveiled 11 new models at the show in Indianapolis. The 2007 lineup, available in 2006, includes eight new scooters and three new ATVs. They all are powered by four-stroke engines designed and built by KYMCO in Taiwan.

In ATVs, the big news was the introduction of the MXU 500 4X4, the company’s largest and most powerful quad to date. It features a 4-stroke, DOHC, 499cc engine with shaft drive and on demand 4-wheel drive with high and low gear. Digital instrumentation, disc brakes, front and rear cargo racks, and a half-ton capacity towing hitch are all standard.

“This new and larger machine shows KYMCO’s commitment to the U.S. market in general, and utility ATV buyers in particular,” said Bruce Ramsey, KYMCO USA Vice President for Sales and Marketing.

In the more sport-oriented Mongoose ATV line, KYMCO’s Indianapolis booth showed off the new 50 4T and 70 4T, youth quads that combine Mongoose performance with clean-burning 4-stroke engines.

KYMCO USA also introduced eight new 2007 scooters at the Indianapolis show. In the Xciting series, a more economical Xciting 250 joins its big brother, the Xciting 500. But the smaller version maintains the same comfort and safety features, including a protective windscreen and disc brakes front-and-rear. Its 249cc liquid-cooled engine gets an estimated 61 miles per gallon.

The entry-level Agility 50 4T, featuring a versatile seat that quickly converts from passenger space in the standard two-up configuration to a comfortable backrest for one-up riding, and the Agility 125 add more variety to the growing scooter line for KYMCO USA.

The most notable change to the existing scooter line is a dramatic re-styling of the crowd-pleasing People series. Spiced up with European flair, the new People S Series now includes 50, 125, 200, and 250cc models, all with 4-stroke engines.

The Vitality 50 4T is basic transportation with flair. At only 210 pounds with a 4-stroke, air-cooled engine, this affordable scooter has many extras, like a front disc brake for reliable stopping power and KYMCO’s shiftless CVT transmission.

KYMCO USA continues to offer one of the industry’s best factory warranties.
