“Changing directions for 2011 was not an easy decision to make but it is one that I am very excited about,” said Santo DeRisi, Owner of DeRisi Racing Inc. “I have always wanted to give back to the sport of ATV racing and now I have my chance. I feel that the team I have put together will be extremely successful and I cannot wait to get the season underway.”
DeRisi Racing will have support riders throughout multiple series along the East coast of the United States but the focal point of the newly formed team will be on GNCC Junior A racers David Reeves and Luke Reeves along with XC2 ProAm competitor Eric Hoyland. “I am especially excited to work with Eric this year. He is a good individual that has an immense amount of talent. I am confident that with the vast level of support I am providing him and his ability to perform exceptionally amongst some of the fastest woods racers in the United States, we will have a lot of success in 2011” says DeRisi.
Eric Hoyland and his family have been involved in cross country racing for many years, five years of which were devoted to the GNCC Series. Over this period of time Eric has built upon his abilities and feels more confident than ever that he has what it takes to run up front. Along with the team, Eric will be switching ATV brands in hopes of improving his chances for his ProAm Championship run. “I am very comfortable on my Honda, and the setup that Santo has provided me is better than anything I have had in the past. With my dedication to racing and Santo’s years of experience I am certain I will be up front” Said Hoyland.
“Round one will be here before we know it” said DeRisi “we are working hard to be as prepared as possible for the Florida sand. I cannot express enough gratitude to the following companies for standing behind DeRisi Racing; Rath Racing, Fox Shox, GBC Tires, IMS Products, HMF, HiPer Technology, GPR, Fasst Co, DC Cycle, Wiseco, Maier, Twin Air, DP Brakes, G4 Graphics, Powermadd, Motion Pro, Quad Tech, Albright Motorsports, Spider Grips, Silkolene, Hilltop Motorsports, Fly Racing, Scott Goggles and Liquid Performance.
