Icon Ford SVT Raptor 3.0 Performance Suspension System
As if the Ford Raptor isn’t capable enough in stock form, Icon Vehicle Dynamics upped the ante on Raptor performance by offering its 3.0 Performance Suspension System that’s available in three different stages. The Stage 1 kit is designed to improve the off-road performance of the Raptor while still retaining great road handling thanks to its 3.0 front coilover shocks that are paired with its rear ZETA Raptor shocks. The front coilovers features what Icon says is a true 3-inch main piston designed to provide digressive rebound and flutter stack compression for “outstanding control, great response, and unparalleled ride performance.” It also features an internal hydraulic system that functions like a bumpstop to aid in bottom-out control in the rough stuff. The ZETA rear shock in the Stage 1 kit is a “true” three-tube external bypass shock, with each valve equipped with a different spring rate to ensure proper performance at each zone of shock travel. Icon offers easy adjustment with external knobs that don’t require any tools for adjustment to fine-tune the truck. The bypass tubes are also replaceable and can be swapped out during a standard rebuild, as opposed to needing to replace the bypass shock body entirely.
