What do you get when you combine a Dodge Warlock pickup truck with a Dodge
Power Wagon? You get an off-road vehicle with the capability of the Power Wagon
and the eye-catching looks of the Warlock. That's what Jeff Reichel did!
Here's his own description of his vehicle:
My current DODGE is a (mostly) 74 powerwagon/warlock. It started out life as
a slant six military 1/2 ton beater. It has been transformed into a Dana 60d 1
ton mud bogger. It rides on 38.5x11x16.5 BOGGERS. W/A 8" SUPERLIFT elevation.
Power comes from a mildly warmed over 318 that is mostly stock but has a few
bolt on improvements that include: MOPAR PERFORMANCE electronic ignition and
valve covers, accel super coil. Edelbrock performer intake and 600 cfm carb.
Summit headers, high output alternator, and best of all a 73 300hp 340 waiting
in the wings to replace it.
This power gets to the mud via a NP 435 4 speed, divorced NP 205 t-case
linked to the locked Dana 60s by custom 1 ton driveshafts. Body mods are mostly
by mother nature. Interior upgrades are kept to only essential items: Sun tach,
and gages, fire bottle, and undercoating. Other accesories include a Warn 8000lb
multi-mount winch, 60" hi-lift jack, numerous spare parts for off road trips to
the alaskan tundra. The warlock bed is actually a true spirit bed. It is basicly
the same, black with the gold pinstripping.
Build up has taken me and a few close friends 3 years and we still have a bit
of tinkering to do. But when is a truck ever done?
