Off-Road America - 502 Conversion

Off-Road America in Jacksonville, Florida, in conjunction with Rod Hall Racing in Reno, Nevada are now offering an engine conversion kit. The stock 6.2L, 6.5L, 6.5L turbo diesel, or the 5.7L gas engine can be replaced with a 502 cubic inch (8.2 liter) gasoline engine. The motor develops 340 hp at 3,800 rpm and 445-520 lbs-ft of torque from 1500-4000 rpm. It uses a cast iron block, 4 bolt mains, and forged piston, rods, and crank. Installation requires a 1.5" body lift, modified cooling system (including hood scoop), and exhaust. 5.7L to 502 costs $22,000, diesel to 502 costs $27,000, however, they do have a promotion for the Pike's Peak race.

JB Engineering - Protection System

JB Engineering now has several parts to help protect the underside of your vehicle. The halfshaft protectors are steel U shaped devices mounting to the lower control arms. The sides protect the outer halfshaft boot from damage. They also have skid plates to protect the differentials and brakes. These are also steel, with or without slots, that mount to the lower control arm bolts and extend between the crossmembers.

Stinger Accessories - Transfer Case

Stinger/MAC Accessories in Scottsdale, Arizona, in conjunction with 4-To-1 in Louisiana now offers a regeared 242 transfer case. The stock low range of 2.72:1 is reduced to 3.5:1 by modifying the front case and replacing the planetary gear assembly. All other aspects of the transfer case are unchanged.
