Award Winning Valve Covers

Jan. 28, 2008 By Press Release

Inglewood, CA, January 18, 2007 – At the SEMA Show November 2007, PML won a Global Media award for their new sand cast aluminum valve covers with vintage CHEVROLET® or CORVETTE® script and fins. These new covers are now available.

These aftermarket valve covers will fit the heads found on many crate engines, mid-90s Pontiac Trans Am and Firebird, and 1987-1998 Silverado, Sierra, Suburban, Tahoe, Corvette, Impala SS, and Camaro Z28.

PML designed these covers for a clean and classic appearance. The design removed two boltholes and the PCV/breather/oil fill holes from the top surface and added raised CHEVROLET or CORVETTE script and fins. These covers use only the two outer boltholes. The sand cast aluminum construction is so much stiffer than stock that you do not need four bolts to apply pressure evenly to the gasket.

If holes are needed for oil fill, PCV, or breather, they can be cut into the intake side of the valve cover. Baffles are cast into the interior of the cover in two locations opposite where the holes would go. This leaves the top surface where the fins and lettering are completely clean.

The covers are slightly taller than stock to allow roller tip rockers and are designed to use the stock gaskets. These valve covers are available in as-cast, black or Chevrolet orange powder coated with brushed fins and script, and polished finishes. The PML part number is 11040 for the CHEVROLET script and 11041 for the CORVETTE script.
