Marlin Crawler is proud to announce its newest addition to their 4-cylinder Tacoma/T100 product line: a world’s-first 2/3RZ to R-series transmission bell housing. Marlin Czajkowski has developed a new bell housing for all 2RZ-FE or 3RZ-FE powered Tacoma/T100 pickups that will allow either a R151F (1986-87 Turbo 4cyl 5-speed), early R150F (1988-95 3.0l 5-speed), or late R150F (1996-04 3.4l 5-speed) transmission to be bolted directly up to the 2.4l or 2.7l “RZ” engine block.

The R-series transmission is much stronger than the factory equipped W59 transmissions used in 4-cylinder Tacoma’s and T100’s, and utilizes a true 23-spline transfercase. The R-series transmission features larger internal components and do not suffer from the inherent problems of the W-series transmissions, such as a weak 5 th gear, main shaft bearings, and reverse gear.

This bell housing makes for an ideal choice for all “RZ”-powered Desert Racers and Rock Crawlers alike, who desire the strongest Pickup/4Runner/T100 manual transmission and 23-spline drivetrain. Vehicles that are converted from a 3VZ-E to a 3RZ-FE will especially appreciate this bell housing due to the fact that only very minor drivetrain modifications are required.
