Moab local Trevor Shumway came out in his F250 Power Stroke diesel to show everyone how Potato Salad is done.
The crowd was big, but mostly spectators, and very little attempts to conquer the hill. In the time we were there, a few Jeeps did attempt to take on the hill, but had a very difficult time. The longer wheel-base seemed to do better. The Jeep JK 4-door Wrangler was a good rig to run; but the most surprising one was the old Ford F350 Diesel that made it look too easy. With a long bed and 4-doors, the Ford was well over 150-inches in wheel base.
Currie Enterprises 4th Annual Car Wash
Dirt rigs found their way into the Moab Car Wash at the end of the day where Currie Enterprises was sponsoring their 4th Annual Car Wash. You just drive up, a pretty girl gives you some quarters, and you get 'er washed. The Currie boys had a nice set-up next to the car wash, and were available to answer questions about their bullet-proof rear ends, suspension kits and hardware suspension accessories.
Moparized Power Wagon with custom Single Cab, short-short bed, Hemi, 40-inch BFGs, Dana 70s and a rockin' Bilstein suspension set-up.
Coming back into town we caught eye of the Mopar rig parked outside Walker's Drug Store. Some Moparized vehicles were there with plenty of Ga-ga factor. My personal favorite—the Dodge Moparized Power Wagon.
Later this week Off-Road.com gets a closer look at Dodge's Power Wagon and some new Jeep vehicles. Make sure to check back for more video, photos and the latest from the off-road nation.
A special thanks to Tom Severin from Badland's Off-Road Adventures for giving us a lift, and to the Red Rock 4-Wheelers for putting on an excellent event and run.
