In 2006 the RM-Z450 became the first four stroke ever to win the AMA Supercross Championship. To celebrate the success, Suzuki has created the 2007 RM-Z450 Ricky Carmichael Replica - complete with Team Makita Suzuki graphics and custom gold colored Rims.

 

NEW FEATURES

Special limited edition model with Team Makita Suzuki graphics, gold-colored wheels and black seat similar to Ricky Carmichael's championship-winning RM-Z450.

Radiator shrouds are re-designed for improved cooling effeciency and an aggressive new look.

 

NEW ENGINE

Increased engine performance at low-to-mid rpm utilizing: - Reshaped intake ports for optimal effeciency - NGK Iridium spark plugs for better combustion - Exhaust pipe is extended by 85mm - Updated carburetor settings.

Re-designed combustion chamber for increased engine output

Oil control rings are now electro-plated with chrome-nitride coating for increased durability and reduced friction.

New scavenging pump boasts a new design for increasd lubrication and improved durability, combined with reduced mechanical losses at the crankshaft.

Oil strainer is now easily overhauled without separating the crankcases for easy maintenance.

 

NEW CHASSIS

New radiator has been added for increased rigidity.

Sidecovers are now vented for maximum airflow.

Updated aluminum allow twin spar frame features thicker lower tubes and thinner tank rails for unmatched cornering performance. Suspension settings have also been updated to match the all-new frame.

New front fork and rear shock settings for improved cornering and straight line performance.
