Face Lift: Dashboard Faceplate Install on Jeep Wrangler

Add some bling to your Jeep with a US Speedo color-matched dashboard faceplate

Theres no bling on this orange 2005 Rubicon Unlimited and its a really fun ride.

If youre like me, you like to add products to your Jeep thatll enhance its performance and capability, which doesnt mean chrome. It means lift kits, larger tires, and lockers. The only chrome on my recently acquired 2005 Rubicon Unlimited is the headlight bezels. I do plan on lifting the Jeep, adding the larger wheels and tires, and improving the lockers, but before all that Im starting with something far simpler. And the rather unique US Speedo colored faceplate appealed to me.

Maybe it was the orange, or maybe it was just because all TJ/LJ models (TJ: 1997-2006; LJ: 2004-2006) that Ive seen had the same black faceplate for its gauges and I wanted something different. And I really like being able to match the Jeeps color with the dashs faceplate.

If you have a blue Wrangler, a red one, or even a green one (or a Cherokee, a Grand, or even a Hummer, Chevrolet, Ram, or Ford truck), US Speedo can accommodate you with a matching-color faceplateor a contrasting color. US Speedo also offers LED steering wheel lighting kits and other products you might want to check out.

This is not an easy upgrade. If you have any doubts as to your own mechanical ability, you may want to find a good shop to do the work. And there may be several adjustments necessary after youre back on the road. Google speedometer repair for shop references.

If you want to gilt your Jeep and add a bit of bling to distract you on those daily drives or a road trip, check out the websites below.
