INTRODUCTION: After talking with Mountain Off Road Enterprises (M.O.R.E.) I was convinced that there bolt-in cage was by far the best bolt-in cage on the market. I opted to just go with the standard basic kit which includes two side bars that attach to the floor board and a spreader bar that attaches the left side bar to the right side bar. I figured if I was going to be installing a cage in the Jeep I wanted the full on optional kit. I got the basic kit with the optional two center spreader bars, and a frame tie in kit for more rigid stability and strength. This kit arrived at my door about one week later with all the unpainted hardware for this kit including nuts, bolts and washers. All the separate pieces are pre-bent to fit your jeeps interior perfectly when only a little drilling and bolting together to install. I started by painting some of the bars but after painting half of them I decided to just wait till after I complete the installation before painting. Mainly because I figured I'd be banging the bars around while installing the kit, this would just result in sanding and repainting the cage. See pictures below for some pieces of the kit and pre-install pictures. I then had to remove the old factory roll-bars that attach to the windshield frame by two torx style bolts per-side. These are basically useless additions to the factory roll bar if you ask me. I was happy to see them go, considering the only purpose they ever provided me was a hand grip when wheelin. I then had to remove one bolt from each side of the window securing bracket. This is the three bolt bracket located just above the factory speaker locations. This allowed me to fold the windshield down for the first time in my Jeep life. I was actually surprised to find some interesting items that fell behind the windshield frame. See pictures below. (Click on images for large view)
