Every year, Jeep uses the Moab Easter Jeep Safari to not only test out new ideas in the eyes of the public, it actually takes its concepts out to the rocks and goes climbing. 

This helps Jeep engineers determine what will actually make it to production on future Jeep models, so pay close attention to what you see in these photos. The Easter Jeep Safari is wrapped up for another year, and we’re left with these great pictures showing each of the one-off Jeeps hitting the rocks in Moab.

Some of the concepts, like the Jeep J-Wagon, is a display of what a customer can buy from a dealer right now with the help of Mopar accessory parts, while other concepts, like the Sandstorm, exist to show what the future could hold for the world’s most famous off-roader. This is particularly true of the Sandstorm concept, which is likely our first glimpse at what the upcoming Wrangler-based pickup truck will look like.
