Bryan Freeman wins 1/2-1600. Steve Oliges win the ProTruck Class. Craig Turner wins Class 7 - Truck.
Rick Ellison wins Class 10. Vic Bruckman wins Class 12. Unofficialy, we show George Seeley and Joe Heger tying the win in Class 5.
Daves Sykes and Dave Westhem win in Class 8 Trucks. Eric Fisher wins Class 9. Bob Graham wins the 7S truck class. Cars #1200, #55, #1001, #1603, #1605, #1607and Trophy Trucks #15 and #8 are out of the race. Alan Pflueger is back in the race but, almost an hour behind the Oliges ProTruck.
Ed Herbst brings the Terrible Herbst Trophy Truck in for a first in class and overall win. Scott McMillin wins Class 1. Marcos Nunez takes the class win in 5/1600.
BJ Baldwin, Car #109 and Josh Waddell, Car #149 are out of the race with mechanical problems. Jesse Jones - Trophy Truck #76 is out of the race with electrical problems.
Kory Halopoff is smoking Class 10, just out on lap #3, averaging 50+ MPH. John Griffin finishes the race as the lone Stock Full entry.
The first race finishers are arriving. Eric Solorzano takes class 11. Don Moss wins class 3.
Tim Herbst is the lead Trophy Truck in on Lap #2 with Gus Vildosola - Rob MacCachren a few minutes back on corrected time. The Herbst Truck looks in trouble leaving on lap #3. The hood is missing and the vehicles seems to have lost a couple of gears in the transmission or has fuel supply issues. Alan Pflueger in ProTruck #255 rolled on Lap #2 at race mile 15. Driver and co-driver are okay and hope to resume the race once the vehicle is back on it's tires. Sammy Ehrenberg, car #1613 is out of the race.
Marty Coyne is the first trophy truck in on lap 1 with Larry Ragland in the Collins Trophy truck second. Just two seconds behind Coyne for the overall, lap #1 fast time is Scott McMillin.

The first wave of racers left the line at 0600hrs in a somewhat disorderly fashion. Many teams were late to the start finish adding a minor amount of confusion to the small pack of nineteen, starting vehicles. The first wave consists of Class 5/1500 - Limited Baja Bugs, Class 9 - Limited Buggies, Class 3 - Short Wheelbase SUV's and Sportsman Cars and Trucks. The second wave of racers covering all other classes to include the super fast Trophy Trucks and Class, Unlimited Buggies will be off the line at 0800hrs. |
