The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, this past weekend for the second-to-last weekend of the 2015 season. With championships on the line in every class, short-course off-road racing professionals pushed hard to earn valuable points at Rounds 15 and 16.
With his dominance in the class this season, one of the biggest storylines at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was Kyle LeDuc’s LOORRS win streak coming to an end in Pro 4. Carl Renezeder was able to break through to earn his first victory of the season since his first win in 2015 at Round 1. Rob MacCachren, situated in second place in the points race behind LeDuc earned second place, while LeDuc rounded out the podium in third. At Round 16, Renezeder returned to the podium with a third-place finish, but it was Bryce Menzies who earned the win at Round 16, edging out Doug Fortin who finished in second place.

In Friday night’s Round 15 Pro 2 race, MacCachren edged out both Renezeder and Menzies – who finished in second and third respecitively – to earn the win to help stay atop the leaderboard in the class. At Round 16, however, Menzies posted the victory in the class to try and close the gap on MacCachren leading into the final race next month at Lake Elsinore, California. MacCachren still finished in second place at Round 16, though, while Keegan Kincaid earned third place.
In Pro Lite, Brandon Arthur continued his late-season push in the class by earning the win at Round 15, beating out class points leader RJ Anderson and second-in-points racer Jerett Brooks. In Saturday night’s, this time it was Brooks who emerged victorious, with Arthur finishing the race in the runner-up position. Brock Heger earned third in the race, giving him his second podium of the season in Pro Lite.
In the Pro Buggy class it was a tale of two Georges. Chad George earned the victory at Round 15 on Friday night (while Garrette finished third), while Garrett George earned the victory on Saturday night at Round 16 (with Chad finished in second). Athough the George clan earned four of the six podium spots over the weekend, the remaining podium spots went to Dave Mason, who earned second place at Round 15, while Mike Valentine finished in third place at Round 16.
LOORRS will wrap up its 2015 season at the final race weekend October 24-25 at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Southern California. The weekend will include the final race of the 2015 season that will earn points toward the championship titles, and it will conclude with the Lucas Oil Cup Races that will feature high-dollar payouts.
