General Tire Returns as Trophylite Series Title Sponsor

Feb. 01, 2010 By Press Release
General Tire returns to the TROPHYLITE spec off-road truck series as Title Sponsor for the second consecutive year.  The TROPHYLITE teams will enjoy the continued support from the General Tire family and the quality they have come to appreciate in the General Grabber AT2 tires. TROPHYLITE teams will continue to use the same tire that carried them through thousands of race miles in the 2009 season.

The series will carry the name "2010 General Tire TROPHYLITE Race Series" and the well known GT logo will be proudly displayed on all competitors trucks in the race events.  Travis Roeffler from General Tire commented,  "The TROPHYLITE series is a great opportunity for us to showcase our products and help to prove out our development of new tire technology. We are proud to be associated with Greg and the TROPHYLITE guys."

"We are blessed to have the support of great people and a great company like General Tire for the TROPHYLITE series. Them coming back on board as Title Sponsor is a great deal for all of the TROPHYLITE family. The teams can have comfort in knowing that they have a great tire to compete with and everyone can continue to showcase how tough these tires are."  said Greg Foutz TROPHYLITE owner.

The General Tire team has been very hands on with the TROPHYLITE program.  Tony Talbert who works in the tire development program with General Tire rode in the Team TROPHYLITE truck with TROPHYLITE owner Greg Foutz at the 2009 Baja 1000 where the team won their respective class in the race.  When asked Tony had this comment "When Greg asked me if I wanted to do the Baja 1000 with him I wasn't sure how things would work out, but as we did the run down by San Felipe and I saw what these trucks could do and how well the General Grabber AT2 tires worked I was very happy to be a part of the action.  A great experience for sure."
