Focused on the outdoor and active enthusiast, Toyota unveiled the new 2018 RAV4 Adventure at the Chicago Auto Show today. The RAV4 Adventure will be offered in a front-wheel drive version with an automatic limited slip or an all-wheel-drive version with Dynamic Torque Control.
Both models of the RAV4 Adventure will feature a Tow Prep Package, which includes an upgraded radiator and supplemental engine oil and transmission fluid coolers. The new model will also feature an upgraded suspension system with a higher ride height. The RaAV4 Adventure will also comes with standard RAV4 features such as Trailer Sway Control (TSC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), and TSS-P.
The exterior of the new model gets some unique styling cues, such as larger overfender flares, black 18-inch five-spoke wheels, lower body guards, black headlight bezels and black fog lamp surrounds, roof racks and Adventure badging. Inside, the RAV4 Adventure will features unique trim panels, a leather-wrapped shift knob, 120V/100W power outlet in the cargo area. For added protection, the SUV will feature door sill protectors, all-weather floor and cargo mats with unique Adventure logos.
The RAV4 Adventure will be available in five colors including Black, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Silver Sky Metallic, Super White, and one new color of Ruby Flare Pearl. Additional features new for 2018 in select RAV4 models include optional heat/power fabric front row seats, heated steering wheel, and wiper de-icer as part of a new Cold Weather Package. Toyota says thew new RAV4 Adventure will be available in dealerships in September.
