Coming fresh off the recent BITD Vegas to Reno race and off-site training for his big jump this weekend, Bryce Menzies and team headed to the ghost town in New Mexico where he will attempting his record-breaking jump this Saturday, August 27. Menzies will be launching his Pro 2 truck hundreds of feet in an attempt to break the off-road truck distance record of 332 feet.
In the latest video previewing the big day, Menzies and his team, along with sponsor and host Red Bull, check out the town and the massive ramps designed to help propel his Pro 2 truck safely over the ghost town and land him in the record books. The official name of the event is Bryce Menzies New Frontier Powered by Pennzoil Synthetics and the event is intended to “symbolize the progression of his career and his leap into racing on a global scale.”
The jump will air live on Red Bull TV this Saturday, August 27 at 3 p.m. EST / 12 p.m. PST. On Sunday, NBC will show a documentary-style followup breaking down the story behind 2 p.m. EST or 11 a.m. PST. For more information, head over to www.redbull.com/brycemenzies.
