Four years of extensive testing is now bringing racing technology to everyday applications in the form of new Old Man Emu shocks. These new shocks and coilovers offer internal bypass technology, with an external reservoir and on-vehicle adjustment for compression and rebound to suit varying loads and ride preferences.

Specs include a 51mm (2.0”) diameter bore with a 19mm shaft. Dash 6 Teflon hoses with high flow fittings. 6061 T6 aluminum construction offers great heat dissipation and corrosion resistance. Kidney bypass ports allow for maximum bore size.

BP-51 (bypass 51mm diameter bore) shock absorbers feature revolutionary, patent pending technology developed to deliver unparalleled on and off road performance. Damping performance is easily adjustable (on vehicle) across a wide range in both rebound and compression. This allows for considerable ride comfort around town and exceptional control off road.

Designed, developed and tested entirely by ARB’s team of Old Man Emu Ride Engineers, all BP-51 shock absorbers are manufactured in-house by ARB. These big bore, position sensitive bypass shock absorbers were developed and tested extensively in some of Australia’s most rugged environments.
