Final preparations for 43rd Tecate SCORE Baja 500 are well underway. Only one day remains before the start this year’s Baja 500, and race crews and drivers worked on vehicle setups, pre-running sections of the course, and finishing up pit strategy for Saturday’s race.
We did some pre-running on the course today and crossed paths with a number of racers, including Robby Gordon and the Speed Energy Team, Armin Schwarz of All German Motorsports, Lexus racer Joe Bacal (who was probably the only racer pre-running in a Lexus LX 570), dirt bike and ATV racers and more.
Tech and contingency will begin tomorrow in Ensenada, with the race beginning on Saturday morning at 6 a.m. when the first dirt bike leaves the starting line. Be sure to check back with Off-Road.com for more on the 43rd Tecate SCORE Baja 500.
