As the top-selling sport ATV of all
time, the Warrior has every right to brag. With a rugged design and
an athlete's stance, the Warrior features Yamaha's proven
four-stroke technology with a mighty 348cc single-cylinder engine.
For even more optimal engine performance, the Warrior is equipped
with a large 36mm Mikuni carburetor, which features both slide and
butterfly valves to increase air flow and fuel delivery.
In addition, a wide-ratio, six-speed transmission,
with a class-exclusive reverse that can be conveniently engaged
from any gear, provides unparalleled performance for riders of
every skill level. And, an easy-to-use electric start system
ignites the Warrior for battle at a moment's notice.
Ensuring a smooth ride, the front suspension's
sophisticated pre-load adjustable double A-arm design and rear
linkage-type single-shock offers 7.9 inches of travel, which is
great for climbing over obstacles left by mother nature. And for
incredible stopping power, even in wet conditions, the Warrior
offers large-diameter ventilated hydraulic front and rear disc
brakes. Finally, its durable, lightweight aluminum wheels, coupled
with big, knobby tires, provide superior handling on rugged,
unpredictable terrain.
The Warrior's
additional features include skid plates that shield the rear brake
and sprocket, solid rock guard protectors and a tubular frame that
protects the 30-watt halogen headlamps from flying debris. Not to
be slowed down, the Warrior's snorkel air intake helps keep its
engine churning even through mud or shallow water. In keeping with its sporty image, the 2003 Warrior features all-new Raptor handlebars, grips and taillight. The 2003 Warrior comes in Team Yamaha blue/white and black/white and is available at Yamaha dealers nationwide at a manufacturer's suggested price of $4,999 in June 2002.
