The Product

This TailGate Ramp is a replacement tailgate for your pickup that is also a ramp. You'll never be without a safe form of loading. Just remove your OEM tailgate and install the TailGate Ramp.

There are two versions of the fold out TailGate Ramp. The first is a 6-foot length model, which will give a slightly greater angle on trucks with beds higher off the ground than the longer model, the 7.5-foot model. Exact length is determined by truck model. Both tailgates work with the same principle just at different lengths. The TailGate Ramp is a four section tailgate that can easily be unlatched in two separate locations and folded out to provide safe loading of your ATV, motorcycle, lawnmower or anything you need to roll, push or pull into your truck. Benefits include safe loading and unloading of ATVs and other items, and there is no extra space needed to carry ramps.

The sections are constructed of quality steel framing with an expanded steel grating. The surface of the TailGate Ramp is coated with Rhino liner, which is a spray in truck-bed Liner. The manufacturing process also adds garnet granules into the spray on liner. This keeps the ramp surface from becoming slippery, especially when snow and mud are present. The 6-foot Tailgate Ramp weighs 115lbs and has a load rating of 1350lbs. The 7.5 ft. ramp is about 10 extra pounds. The only time the full weight has to be lifted is when you are installing - make sure you have an extra person to help put it in place.

The ramp comes with a heavy-duty spring, which attaches to the truck to assist in folding and shutting. The tailgate only requires an average of 8lbs to be lifted when closing. The ramp folds within itself taking up no more room than original tailgate and it also functions like a regular tailgate when you don't unfold it. Sherrer Contracting Inc. offers a one-year warranty on workmanship and materials.
