Loft-It - Press Release - Off-Road.com

( Las Vegas ) – Inside a motorcycle owner's garage storage space is always at a premium.

Loft-It, the first-ever garage elevator, can create an extra 192 cubic feet of garage floor space by lifting motorcycles up to six feet in the air.  By getting motorcycles or other large items up and off the floor, it is possible to store other items below the lift's large platform – doubling the usefulness of that same piece of garage real estate.

Available through HyLoft USA , LLC, Loft-It is capable of lifting 1,000 pounds with just the turn of its keyed switch.  Measuring four feet deep by eight feet wide, the lift's platform travels on two vertically mounted tracks.  When installed on any structurally sound wall, the elevator does not need any other supports.  Because Loft-It does not need outriggers or floor supports of any kind, the lift frees-up an additional 32 square feet unobstructed floor space.  With so much space reclaimed, a car can be moved back into the garage or a second motorcycle can be parked in the space previously taken up by just one

Hidden inside the platform is the only mechanical part of the lift – a four amperes, 120-volt electric motor.  Both the vertical tracks and the platform are constructed of aircraft grade aluminum.  Long-term lifting strength is provided by two half-inch stainless steel cables.

Built-in safety measures will not allow the platform to be raised if overloaded and it will stop it from lowering if it comes in contact with anything left underneath.  To prevent unauthorized use of the lift, the remotely mounted operating switch includes a removable key.

Retailing for less than $2,000, Loft-It is available in the U.S. through the HyLoft dealer network.  A searchable list is available at www.HyLoft.com .
