Many racers are still out there, and with the 20 hour time limit you can count on having racers coming in all night. The FINISH line will close at approximately 8AM.

#1100 Eric Solorzano is still in the race. He passed Checkpoint 2 (Rm197) in his trusty red VW at 19:00hrs.
#83i VW Touareg 2 driven by Mark Miller and co-driver Ralph Pitchford crossed the FINISH line around 8PM. The TDI diesel powered rally car was able to endure the harsh terrain of the Baja 500. Miller and Pitchford were able to keep their pace in front of the Class 1 cars, and successfully finished in front of several Trophy Trucks. The #83i VW Red Bull Touareg 2 had an elapsed time of 10:00:34 with an average speed of 42.380 MPH.

Off-Road.com from the FINISH line: #12 Collins Motorsports TT first across the FINISH, with #1 B.J. Baldwin in a close second. Larry Ragland and Brian Collins started in 8th this morning, and had to move up a very competitive field of SCORE Trophy-Truck of drivers.
B.J. Baldwin is just outside Ensenada, making good time and being chased by #12 Collins and #3 Riviera.
Booby trap reported by SCORE Ops near Uruapan. Local officials are being called to go look into removing from race course.
#1802 and #1804Dragonfire Polaris RZRs are officially out of the race.

1a PRO ATV rider Danny Prather from Ramona, CA brings the Temecula Motorsports Honda TRX450R to the FINISH. 1a team member Mike Cafro broke his wrist during the race on his way to Ojos Negros. Next ATV finisher was 3a Wayne Matlock on the Honda Alba Action TRX450R. PRO ATV 3a had some problems earlier in the day when they drove their quad off a cliff near Rm311 at around 2:00PM. The rider was injured, and unfortunately lost time..
TT #1 B.J. Baldwin just passed Checkpoint 3 at Rm mile 286, with #3 Post in Ford Riviera TT, and #28 Pflueger in Monster Energy TT closely behind.
Off-Road.com from the FINISH line: Closely behind 1x was at the FINISH was 7x KTM Redbull 525XC, raced in by Chris Blais. “Glad to finish, definitely good to finish,” commented an excited Blais. “The bike had some noises, but ran good,” Blais said. They only had to do 2 tire changes, and fell once.
Off-Road.com from the FINISH line: Honda 1x crosses FINISH LINE at Ensenada, completing the race in less than 9 hours. With the help of teammate Steve Hengeveld, Robby Bell and Kendall Norman may have beaten their own record from the 2006 Baja 500. The Honda 1x team won the 2006 Baja 500 with a time of 8:59:04. TT #16 Cameron Steele is out of the race at Rm80

No signs of any UTVs through Checkpoint 1 (Rm86), per SCORE Ops.
1x is in the lead, and through Checkpoint 4 (Rm385) at 2:05PM. The Honda 1x team is closing in on FINISH fast. Only 35 miles to go!
Pro ATV 3a was reported to have gone off a cliff near Erendira (Rm311). The Honda ATV team of Wayne Matlock and Chad Prull lost some time, especially since the rider broke one of their legs. Chase for Myers Racing helped the injured rider back on the Honda TRX450R, and 3a limping to next Honda Pit. No confirmation on which rider broke their leg yet, but the good news is they are okay and still in the race.
1x Steve Hengeveld is through Santo Tomas (Rm341) at 1:04PM, only 79 miles to go! The Honda 1x team has been out on the race course for only 7hrs, averaging around 48.71mph
SCORE Trophy-Truck #1 B.J. Baldwin is still in the lead at Mike’s Sky Ranch (Rm 145). This is by far one of the more technical sections of the new Baja 500 race course.

7x KTM is first motorcycle through Checkpoint 1 at Rm86. Next to follow was15x Suzuki Temecula Motorsports, and then 1x American Honda. All Motorcycles and ATVs have started and are on the race course.
