BILSTEIN Shock Absorbers

New Bilstein leveling shocks for Truck and SUV

The leader in mono-tube shock absorber technology has introduced shocks that will help level your Truck and SUV’s suspension. Many times Trucks and SUVs come with their nose pointing down and their rear-end high up in the air from the factory. Well, to even things out Bilstein has developed leveling kits that use your OE coil-spring in conjunction with Bilstein shock absorbers to produce an added 2 – 3 inch lift for your vehicle. This might not seem like much, but all said and done, it will make a huge difference on the way your truck or SUV looks and handles. It will also allow for larger tires and wheels to be installed.

Some of the new applications for these leveling kits are: Ford SuperDuty, Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon, Toyota Tacoma and Tundra, and Ford F-150. For more information on these and other Bilstein products please visit: www.bilstein.com

AEM

AEM Dryflow Cool Air Intake Systems

Straight from the dirt comes one of the toughest On/Off-Road air filtration systems for Trucks and SUVs—the AEM Brute Force Cold Air Intake. AEM has for quite some time now been a key player in the car tuner market. They have now brought all their experience of motorsports and performance engineering to the Truck market. The Brute Force is their leading performance product that uses Dry-Filter technology. This new technology is so good that Off-Road race teams like Ragland Motorsports and Camburg have used them in races like the Baja 500 and Baja 1000. One of the reason’s they use AEM Dryflow filters is because they don’t clog up like others do under harsh off-road conditions.

The AEM DRYFLOW filter requires no oiling, and can filter particulates down to the Micron. For a comparison, a strand of human hair is an average of 100 microns. This precise filtration system not only enhances the performance of your engine, but also prevents the risk of unwanted contaminates traveling into the engine, something other high flow aftermarket filters are notorious for. AEM doesn’t stop there; each one of their systems are vehicle specific—meaning, they are not cookie cut to fit 10 – 20 vehicles. The R&D team at AEM actually spends the time testing and tuning each and every application. It is tuned so good that the AEM system uses the intake harmonics to increase the amount of air being sucked into the engine. Now that is cool.

RANCHO

RANCHO QuickLift - runner up
Best Off-Road Product

Rancho introduces the QuickLift suspension system. This was the runner-up for Best Off-Road product at SEMA 2006. The QuickLift system does exactly that, gives your late model Truck or SUV a lift with simply changing out the OE front shocks. The QuickLift will increase height of vehicle anywhere from 1-inch to 2.5-inches, allowing for tires sizes up to 35-inches to fit. The Rancho QuickLift system comes with a 9-possition manual/remote tuning system for the ride of your choice. The Rancho QuickLift is a great option for those of you wanting to squeeze in a larger wheel/tire—without breaking the bank.

AMERICAN RACING

American Racing Ford Ranger Pre-Runner with new Chamber PRO wheels

American Racing has taken on the Light Truck market very aggressively. They have launched several new wheels designs in the last few years. The most notable addition has been the line of wheels that have a black Teflon finish to them. The grey-ish/black wheels have started popping up on different trucks around the U.S., and also in Off-Road race trucks. Some of the rockstar status racers on American Racing wheels are Cameron Steele from the Desert Assassins, and Peter Sohren (aka Pistol Pete). This year at SEMA another wheel was added to its already impressive line—the American Racing Chamber Pro off-road race wheel. This wheel is geared for race applications, but we are almost certain that we will see a similar street version soon.

American Racing Chamber PRO

The American Racing Chamber Pro was displayed on a new Ford Pre-Runner built for the Baja 1000. This awesome forged aluminum, Teflon coated wheel has the black rugged look like some of the other American Racing off-road wheels do. The first ones available are being used at the SCORE Baja 1000 on Cameron Steele’s TrophyTruck. The production race wheels should be available at the beginning of 2007, with the first available size being 17 x 8.5.

The American Racing Chamber PRO will also be available for CORR race truck fittings, featuring high off-set wheels for the front and countersunk bead locks. More information should be available on these wheels soon at www.americanracing.com
