HD Customs has released its new Switchblade Bumper and Swing-Away Tire Carrier for Jeep JKs from 2007-10. The Switchblade Bumper is designed completely in-house of 3/16-inch steel that is fully welded and smoothed. The bumper features frame-mounted “D” shackles constructed of 3/4-inch steel that run 10 inches deep into the frame rail for added strength and durability. The Switchblade Bumper features an integrated recovery receiver hitch, and its high-clearance design aids with maximum departure angles on the trail. The bumper itself bolts to the frame and rear cross-members in 14 places, 10 of which are 1/ 2-inch grade 8 bolts. Every bumper is built to be rear-winch capable, with optional rear winch/exhaust relocation kit (sold separately). The Switchblade Bumper also can accommodate optional high-power recessed LED reverse lights.

The Swing-Away Tire Carrier is an advanced tire carrier system that provides easy access to spare tires with its drop-down feature. The easy-to-use carrier can be operated with only one hand and does not require Jeep owners to swing away the tailgate and Swing-Away unit separately. The vertical drop-down tire carrier will accommodate up to 40-inch tires and removes the worry of lifting and lowering spare tires by hand, making tire changes possible for anyone, regardless of size or stature. The Swing-Away Tire Carrier also includes a Hi-Lift Jack mount standard.
